Engineered with a dual element 2D airfoil combination, this wing is meticulously crafted to generate extraordinary downforce, meeting the rigorous requirements of racing applications with utmost precision.
  • The dual element design of the wing allows for minimal air separation at high angles of attack, while also effectively reducing drag at low angles of attack.
  • With an adjustment range of 10 to 52 degrees (relative to the ground plane), the secondary airfoil of the wing provides a wide selection of tuning options for the Angle-of-Attack (AOA). Furthermore, the wing is engineered with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the maintenance of stable airflow and preventing stalling, even when the maximum angle of 52 degrees is set.
  • Constructed from pre-preg carbon fiber composite materials, the GT Series airfoils achieve an optimal balance between strength and weight. These renowned materials are known for their exceptional durability and lightweight characteristics.
  • Mounting the APR Performance GT-1000 Adjustable Wing assembly to the chassis is crucial, as attaching it to a vehicle’s trunk lid, even on factory OEM steel lids, can result in deformation and damage, potentially causing hazardous conditions. It is important to note that the GT-1000 does not come with pedestals. Customers are responsible for fabricating their own chassis-mount pedestals tailored to their specific applications.
  • The upper brackets incorporate multiple mounting holes; however, it is essential to emphasize that the main airfoil is specifically designed for installation and securement in a single position.
  • In the process of correct installation, the side plates, referred to as “end plates,” should be precisely set at a 0-degree Angle-of-Attack (AOA) in relation to the ground plane. Consequently, the main airfoil maintains a slight forward pitch of approximately 5 degrees AOA relative to the ground plane.

NOTES

  • The standard measurement stands at 23 inches.
  • Custom mounting distances are accommodated, but it is important to note that any distance exceeding 30 inches will incur an additional charge of $185.
