APR PERFORMANCE CARBON FIBER GT-250 71″ UNIVERSAL SWAN NECK ADJUSTABLE WING

The APR Performance GT-250 Adjustable Wing with Swan Neck pedestals incorporates a streamlined 2D airfoil shape that effectively generates significant downforce while minimizing drag. By utilizing swan neck pedestals, this design prevents flow separation that can diminish downforce in traditional bottom-mount pedestal setups. The swan neck configuration enables a higher Angle-of-Attack (AOA) to be achieved before stalling occurs, surpassing the capabilities of standard bottom-mount pedestals.

FEATURES

  • The GT Series wings incorporate an all-new 2D airfoil shape with low drag and exceptional aerodynamics. This “2D” design ensures a consistent level of downforce across the entire span of the wing. To validate its aerodynamic performance, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis was conducted on this wing.
  • Each airfoil in the GT Series is crafted from lightweight and durable carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite materials. These airfoils feature pre-pregnated woven carbon fiber sheets, which provide superior strength while keeping the weight to a minimum. The manufacturing process involves using pre-pregnated composite techniques, such as high-temperature autoclave and vacuum bagging, with high-quality aluminum billet molds to create all CFRP airfoils.
  • Supporting the airfoils are 10mm “aircraft grade” 6061 billet aluminum swan neck pedestals that come in a flat black powder coat finish. Each swan neck pedestal is also “knife-edged” at the trailing edge, to minimize the amount of “dirty” air that reaches the airfoil.

  • Every GT-250 wing comes equipped with Gurney flaps, which are already installed for your convenience. These flaps are incredibly lightweight and are manufactured using pre-impregnated carbon fiber processes.
  • The standard distance measures 23 inches.
  • APR Performance offer custom mounting distance options, but please note that for distances exceeding 30 inches, an additional charge of $185 will apply.
